π How to Create GPX Files with gpx.studio
gpx.studio is a free, open-source tool for drawing routes on a map and exporting as GPX files.
Go to gpx.studio
Open gpx.studio in your browser. No account or registration needed β it's completely free.
Start Drawing Your Route
Click on the map to place your starting point. Continue clicking to add waypoints. The tool automatically follows roads and paths between your points.
Choose Routing Mode
By default, routes follow roads. For trail running or off-road, you can switch routing modes. Use "Straight line" mode for custom paths that don't follow roads.
Create Loop Routes
Use the "Round trip" or "Back to start" options to create loop routes that return to your starting point. Great for running or cycling loops!
Export as GPX
When your route is ready, click the export/save button (πΎ) and save as .gpx file to your computer.
Upload to Strava GPX Uploader
Come back here, upload your GPX file, edit the distance/pace/time, and upload to Strava!
